This film relates Paul’s honest and moving account of how he and his wife Caroline were hugely supported through her illness. They were helped at each stage by St Peter’s Hopsice, firstly at home for 18 months with help from the Community Nurses Specialist and then for the last days of Caroline’s life at St Peter;s Inpatient Unit. After her death Paul attended a Bereavement Support Group at St Peter’s Hopsice and soon afterwards started writing a blog ‘Without a Paddle’ which has a following of thousands across the globe, providing further support, both practical and emotional.
It is part of a series films showcasing the work of St Peter’s Hospice.
