This is one of a series of films commissioned by The National Trust to to be played as a loop at The Wicken Fen Visitor Centre and for use on their website.
At first glance, the sedge fields, fen meadows, reed beds and waterways appear to be natural landscapes, but in fact they have been by man for centuries. Here we see how this traditional management continues on some areas like the sedge fields and how new methods are being used on newly acquired ‘Wicken Fen Vision’ land, through grazing herds of Konik ponies and Highland cattle.
