With a significant tax break introduced in 2014, investors have been encouraged to support businesses with a high social impact. Social Investment Tax Relief enables investors to get a worthwhile return while businesses scale their operations becoming more profitable.
Resonance, in setting up their Bristol SITR Fund, made two pilot deals, one of which was to The Severn Project, a business whose aims, to empower individuals and communities by providing authentic training, education and employment opportunities, were an excellent match with those of Resonance.
This film showcases the twin achievements of the Project – employment and the production of healthy, locally sourced food.
